# Joining a Live Session

As an attendee, the goal is always a smooth, direct entry to the stage — without needing to remember passwords or complete extra steps.

#### 🚀 The Ideal Join Experience

In most cases, joining a live session is simple.

When you click a valid access link, you’ll be taken straight to the live stage without being asked to:

* Enter your email address
* Create or remember a password
* Use a 4-digit PIN

This is the experience most attendees should expect.

#### 🔗 Ways You Might Join a Live Session

Depending on how the organiser has set up the webinar, you may access the live session through:

* A registration confirmation email
* A reminder or follow-up email sent by the organiser
* A welcome email (if you were added individually)
* A calendar invite
* A direct stage URL shared by the organiser (often used if someone is having trouble accessing the session)

All of these options are valid and lead to the same live experience.

#### 🔐 If You’re Asked to Confirm Your Access

In some situations, you may be asked to confirm your identity before entering the session.

**If you’re asked for an email address**

* Enter the email address you used to register
* You won’t need a password

**If you’re offered a 4-digit PIN option**

* This is normal and expected
* A 4-digit PIN will be sent to your email
* Enter the PIN to access the session directly

Good to know: If you don’t remember setting a password — that’s fine. Most attendees never create one.

#### 🖥 What You’ll See When You Join

Once you’ve joined, you’ll always land on the stage. What you see depends on the timing.

**Before the session starts**

If you join early, you’ll see a placeholder message showing:

* Upcoming session
* The session date and time

This confirms you’re in the right place — the session just hasn’t started yet.

**While the session is live**

Once the session begins:

* The video or presentation will appear on the stage automatically
* You may see a panel on the right-hand side with available interaction options (such as Q\&A or Polls)

Available options depend on the organiser’s settings.

**After the session has ended**

If you access the stage after the live session finishes, you’ll see a message indicating that:

* All sessions have finished

This lets you know there are no more live sessions available at that time. If recordings are available, you’ll be able to watch them separately via the On Demand experience.

#### 🎛 About the Interaction Panel (Remote Control)

While watching a live session, you may see an interaction panel on the right-hand side of the screen.

This panel shows the tools available to you as an attendee, depending on how the organiser has configured the webinar.

You may see one or more of the following options:

* **Info** — View details about the session and speakers.
* **Audience Chat** — Join the live conversation with other attendees and session hosts (if enabled).
* **Q\&A** — Submit questions for speakers or moderators during the session.
* **Polls** — Respond to poll questions that appear during the session.
* **Resources** — View or download files shared by the organiser, such as PDFs or additional materials.

The available options can vary from session to session. Not seeing a feature simply means it hasn’t been enabled for that webinar.
